Life Notes

Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be...Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you'll live as you've never lived before.

The wellness treaa

Wellness used to describe going for a massage or eating vegeatables, now thankfully we have a more holistic understanding of the concept. I was pondering how to explain this holistic concept when i looked outside at the trees and it came to me.

Just as trees absorb nutrients from the soil and if watered, grow into magnificent specimens, so to are our lives and the aspects thereof dependant of how we nourish ourselves.

The Soil
The soil represents the vision, attributes and attitude with which we face our lives. How do we approach challenges? Where do we find meaning in our lives? How do we utilise our talents? What do we believe about our purpose and place in the world?

The Roots
Just as the roots depend on the soil for sustenance, so too do our choices depend on the attitude and attributes with which we approach life. Do we make choices based on others expectations or our own? Do we love, trust, honour and respect ourselves through our choices? The Branches
Once the roots have drawn nourishment from the soil they enable growth and development. In the same capacity the branches of our lives represent the external facets of our lives; career, finances, health, relationships, our homes etc. If we’re making decisions out of choices that correspond with our vision these external aspects grow strong.

The Leaves
Just as the leaves of a tree represent the shiniest most alive part of a tree so too do we experience a level of shine in each and every moment of our lives when we go one step further and let go of only the physical and external aspects of our lives and find joy and magic within each and every moment. The level of wellness we experience here is unrelated to the particular activities we partake in and more related to the ‘space’ or framework in which we operate.
It’s in this state that we’ll feel empowered, a sense of purpose, flow, creativity, solutions driven thinking, a sense of wowness and ultimately WELLNESS.
